Overview:

This full day visit is ideal for people who are short on time but still want to visit Machu Picchu and appreciate the beauty and history from the comfort of a train coach. 4 hours train ride approx.  then a bus will take you up to the ruins to start a full-guided tour of the Inca city, then bus ride back to Aguas Calientes to board the train that will take us back to Cusco, with an estimated arrival time around 8.30-9.00pm.

Private Services: These tour are arranged just for you and your party and offer the possibility to choose the departure date, the group size and the duration of the tour. This not only has the advantage of adapting the pace to your physical condition, but also usually means enjoying quieter tours, less travelers along the route and a private tour guide!

Detailed Itinerary:

Full Day: Itinerary

Early in the morning we pick you from your selected hotel in Cusco, time depends train departure and private transfer to the Poroy train station to board the train followed by 4 hours train ride, This train takes you on one of the most incredible train journeys in the Andes. Following the route of the Urubamba River all the way to the cloud forest that surrounds Machu Picchu you enjoy the beautiful scenery of the high Andes throughout the course of the journey. We also see the Veronica snowcapped mountain on the right side, and the famous Inca Trail trek starting point on the left side. From Pachar the Vilcanota river will be our companion until arrival at Aguas Calientes (2040m / 6692ft) then a 30 minutes bus will transport you up to 2,400 m / 7874ft into the fantastic, magic, sacred and mysterious place known as Machupicchu to start a full-guided tour of the Inca city between 2-2,5 hours visit this impressive archaeological site and leads you through all the most important areas, miradors, temples, residences, best spots and all archaeological sites with the insights of very capable guides. Afterward we take the bus from Machupicchu to Aguas Calientes to beon time to board the train back to Ollantaytambo followed by a private transport back to Cusco to your selected hotel.

Please note: In high season the train times may be slightly different due to availability also we recommend this tour ONLY if you are short of time, otherwise we highly recommend the 2 day 1 night train tour option to have more time and enjoy more these places.
