This tour takes you to the south of Cusco’s valley and combines Inca architecture of Tipon, pre- Inca architecture of Pikillaqta finishing with a visit to the chapel of Andahuaylillas known as “the Sistine Chapel of the Americas”. we will pass through Saylla, Tipon and lucre with the opportunity to taste their famous dishes at traditional restaurants ( delicious pork chicharrones, roasted duck or guinea pig) before returning to Cusco.

TIPON is a sprawling early fifteenth-century Inca archaeological park with the irrigation system based on canals, fountains and stonework with water drop structures shows that the Incas had an advanced water related technology and were experienced hydraulic engineers also is a beautiful agricultural site.
PIKILLAQTA: 30 km to the south of Cusco, this pre-Inca archaeological site was the stronghold of the Wari. Pikillaqta is a village of the Wari people, this big adobe complex was built around 700 to 900 years AD by the Huari Culture and Wari was the center village and other cities like Pikillaqta were influenced by it.
ANDAHUAYLILLAS, we will visit the baroque church, the Church of San Pedro de Andahuaylillas dedicated to Saint Peter the Apostle built by Jesuits in the 16th-century, covering a pre-Columbian huaca. The church is nicknamed, “the Sistine Chapel of America” because of the magnificent frescos that adorn its walls, painted in the 1620s by Luis de Riaño and his indigenous collaborators. The painting depicts the roads to heaven and to hell, and the composition was inspired by northern European prints.
